    At the end of the Defence Council held in the morning of 15th July at the Elysee, the Prime Minister Manuel Valls had this to say in regard to the Nice attack : “France has been hit once again in the flesh, on a 14th July, our National Day. We wanted to achieve the unity of the French nation. The only worthy and responsible answer from France will be that we remain true to the spirit of 14th July : a united France, assembled around its values.”
