Bastille Day : A festive reception at the French residence
Government officials, MPs, the diplomatic corps, the civil society and French expatriates in Uganda responded in big number to the invitation of Her Excellency the Ambassador of France to Uganda and her husband Huddy Makame to a Bastille Day’s reception organized at the French residence. The Ugandan government was represented by Hon. James Baba, State Minister for Internal Affairs. Hon. Fred Omach, State Sinister for Finance, was also present.

Uganda ranked second among countries with highest growth in 2023
According to a projected analysis from the Center for International development (CID) of Harvard University, Uganda should be second, after India, in the list of 128 countries ranked according to their estimated growth in 2023.

Dr. Livingstone Sewanyana receives the 2015 European Union Human Rights defenders award
The European Union prize award for human rights defenders was this year given to, among others, Dr Livingstone Sewanyana, in recognition of his commitment to democratic governance, the promotion of the rights of women, children and inmates and the abolition of the death penalty.
