Christian KAKUBA defends his thesis on socio-demography at Paris Descartes University
Christian Kakuba, a student of socio-demography and Assistant lecturer at Makerere University Kampala, who won a French government scholarship, has just completed his thesis entitled, “Trends of inequalities in accessing secondary education in Uganda”, a thesis he defended at the Paris Descartes University before a jury comprising of Marc Pilon (director of research at IRD), Roser Cusso (Professor at Paris 1 Sorbonne University), Jean Bourdon (director of research at CNRS), Giteon Rutaremwa (Professor at Makerere Uiversity) and Valérie Golaz (research coordinator at INED).
The title of Doctor, specializing in socio-demography, was conferred upon him with the mention “very honourable”,
