“60 solutions against climate change”

Extracted from a set of 60 pictures taken by the French photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, those 21 pictures, each coming with an explanation, expose different means to fight against climate change through several projects inventoried all over the world. The French Development Agency (AFD), a financial institution at the heart of the French external aid plan for developing countries, initiated this exhibition. Indeed, 17 pictures illustrate projects financed by the AFD and the French Fund for the Global Environment (FFEM).

Only a few months before the COP21, a global conference on climate change which will be taking place in Paris from the 30th of November to the 11th of December 2015 and which aim will be to limit global warming up to 2°C compared to the preindustrial era, this exhibition enables to recall what are the practical solutions likely to increase the resiliency of global warming and to enable the COP21 to reach its aim. It also illustrates the need to commit every stakeholder, the parliamentary authorities as well as the governmental ones, into the mobilization effort.
