France in Uganda

The 7th edition of the Kampala Geopolitics Conference took place on 23rd and 24th of October, giving the opportunity to young people and students to interact and share ideas with experts, civil society actors and policy makers from Uganda and beyond.

The Embassy of France and Radio France International organised a training workshop to help Ugandan journalists effectively detect and combat fake news.

On 14th and 15th October 2024, Radio France internationale and the Embassy of France in Uganda are co-organizing a workshop for journalists based in Uganda on the topic « Fighting disinformation and fake news ».

Applications are now open for the 2024 “Liberté-Égalité-Fraternité” Human Rights Prize of the French Republic. Apply before 15th October 2024.

Since September 1st, 2024, short-stay visa applications for Sweden are no longer handled by the Embassy of France in Uganda.
